Kaz Hishida

Event Coordination

Restaurant manager, DJ, chef, photographer, journalist, venue promoter, salesman…what diverse background could be more perfect for an event coordinator? Kaz has a flair for organizing trade show events, corporate galas, fund raisers and company parties that range from the intimate to the epic. His education and background in advertising help him fold branding into every detail.


The son of a master chef, Kaz was born into the world of hospitality and event management. With nearly 14 years of experience operating his own restaurants and venues, Kaz has a special gift for establishing and nurturing client relationships and finds great satisfaction in guiding an event from concept to successful conclusion. Having performed every role at an event gives him the personal experience to be an effective team leader and communicator.


Bachelor's of Science in Mass Communication, Focus in Advertising – Middle Tennessee State University
Minors in English and Education

Kazu was MTSU’s first exchange student to Japan.


Kaz has been a DJ on nights and weekends for over 20 years, and as you might suspect has one killer vinyl collection. He loves photographing musical performances and events. Kaz has been an accomplished athlete his entire life: wrestling, rugby, mountain biking, and weight-lifting are just a few of his sporting interests.
